Carmella's Hang Out

Hi everyone! Here is one of my birthday gifts!! Isnt it wonderful?!?!?! This is what David, my big brother, gave to me for my 21st birthday! I am so excited! He designed it and put it together, and everything. He has been working on it since mid April!! WOW!! I think it looks amazing.
Because this one is ten times better than any of the other blogs……..my MAIN blog posting will be done here. If you notice, not only is this a blog, but it is a webpage also! He put all of the links from my old page on here, and all the cool stuff along the side, of like what I am listening to and what I am doing and mood and such, and he has also shown me how to add things to it and customize it even more! YAY! {If you look at the top left, under the banner pic, you can see that he has also put pics there with links to pages for each family member}

Ok! So lets see. I will get to the birthday stuff in just a second, I want to tell you all about the wondeful things I was given, but first, the little bit of news I have. It may not seem like a HUGE deal, but it is an answer to prayer, and therefore, to me, is a big deal. I have been praying for something to come along, a one time side job or something, so that I could take the money and set it aside for vacation and the Ren Fest. I had been invited to the Graduation Open house of a friend, this Saturday. I use to work with both her and her sister at Meijer. Monday, I got a call from the grads older sister {My friend Rachel} she asked if it would be ok for her Mom to hire me for the day, to take pictures of the open house! I had been there at Rach’s party a few years ago, and took pics for my own albums. Her Mom, being the hostess, was unable to see much of the party, due to running around making sure everything was running smoothly and such. She said she loved it when she got to see all the pics I took, because she got to see what she missed. I dont yet know what this job is going to pay, but I am so excited to see another prayer answered! Its just too cool! YAY!

OK! Birthday!
It was so very nice and warm out, down right hot infact. It was in the high 70s!!! WODERFUL for a bithday. In the early morning, Caeley and I went out to do some erends I had. Needed to get a grad gift and card for the party on Saturday, and also needed to go to the mall to give something to my boss. While we were at my work, we rode the carousel twice. Made me so very sick!! OY. I was sure we were both going to throw up! We went on the spinning tea cup! BARF!!! We took the second trip around on horses to try and steady our insides. Then we headed over to a little shop in the mall to get everyone a small gift. {Something we have done since we were very young. On our birthdays, we often get each family member a small gift.} On our way out of the mall, my cell rang. It was Mum seeing if we were on our way home, and I THOUGHT it was to make sure I was bringin Ley Ley home for lunch! Turns out, it was cause she wanted me to hurry up and come home so I could see what they had done to the house! And so they could attack my car!! lol. The front windows had a big HAPPY 21st OZ written in window chalk, and then Mum put a “Today’s my birthday” flag on my car and stuck and “Caution:Stunt Driver” bumber sticker in my window. There was also more than half a dozen pink balloons on the front walk. They all said happy 1st bithday, and Mum had put a 2 in front of it with a marker.
Dad even called me from work to wish me a happy birthday.
I got a TON of gifts!! They started coming in the week before my birthday. Sarah sent me a beautiful bracelet that I love so much and have on nearly everyday. My cousin Rachel, sent me two shirts. One is dark green and, among other things on it, has……lol I dont know how to describe it. Its like the old fasion pictures of a lady. Its really pretty. The other one is a blue tank top. On my birthday, I had flowers delievered to me, from my cousin Taryn. They are so pretty, in a glass vase with a Happy Birthday balloon. They are the first flowers I have ever had delivered to me! Chris got me a three wick candle that smells SO good! Starburst Jelly beans, and Chai tea with a card that is TOOO funny!! {Birthdays are like boogers. The more you have of them, the harder it is to breathe.} Chris knows me far too well!! lol. Rachel P stopped by later in the evening to give me a gift. She had themed the gift as Hawian. I got a pink and white ‘lay’, a travel mug with surf boards and flowers and swim suits painted on it. A frame, and nerds, “Sweet Pea” body spray and yellow body glitter. She also gave me four little floating candles that are in the shape of surf boards.
THEN! There were all the gifts I got from my wonderful family! First of all, you have already heard about what David got me. And then, the three kids got me this awsome CD and DVD set!!! YAY! It was just what I asked for!! It is a live concert of Great Big Sea!!
Tiff got me the special two disc “Phantom Of the Opera” DVD!! I have yet to watch it, though I have already seen the movie it is not the same as when you are watching your own copy! I am also looking forward to looking at the second DVD in the set, and seeing the special features.
Dad and Mum got me this really cool hair styler. This I also have yet to try out, but that is because it only came in yesterday. It looks really cool and very very helpful. It is a steam curler!!!
So as you can see! I got treated like a princess on my bday!!
As for the party, I still have not heard from anyone else that got invites, so I am taking it that they are not coming. Instead, I am having my family and Chris and the boys come out to the park for a party.Cant let all this food just sit here now can I? OO, I forgot that means I have to make at least one cake tonight. I have two, but I dont think I am going to need both like I thought.
Well. I have work to do. Have to get the clues ready for the hunt!! And after dinner, I have to go out and get some ice and maybe some little trinkets or candy for the end of the hunt.
