T’was fun!

I had a nice time at the Bridal shower today. Tom and Jen came and picked me up at 12 noon, and we got to his Aunts house at 1. They then dropped me off here back at my house at 6:30 or so.
One game they played, that I thought was kinda funny, was that they had Jen bake while she was there!! heee. They said, that since she was about to be a new wife, she should know how to bake well. The catch? She had to bake a batch of brownies from memory!! lol!! She told them what she thought was in them, they got her all those things together, and then she had to put them all together in the amounts she thought should be in it!! Then, once Tom came back from his outting with his Dad and uncles, he would have to eat what Jen had ‘created’. His face was priceless as he ate the…..well we will call it stuff!! lol. Even Jen did not want to try it!! He was a good sport though, and ate as much of it as he could…..but it had so much peanut butter in it that it stuck to the insides of your mouth, and it was not very sweet from what I was told. Even though she put alot of sugar in it…I think she put too much of some of the other things in it. Also added, were three eggs, milk, baking powder, vanilla, flour, cocoa, butter, veg.oil, um………what else? Water and salt. I think that was everything. heh.

If anyone wants to read a really good book, they should read the “Case Files of Sherlock Holmes.” It is a bunch of his mysteries all in one book. I love all of the Holmes books I have read, because I think they were very well written and very very interesting and exciting. However, this book has an added bonus. You dont have to wait 100 pages to find out who dun it! You start a case, and just as you are on the edge of your seat, unable to wait any long for the conclusion, it is solved and you go on to the next one. I was reading it the other day at work, and just as Sherlock was about to reveal what had gone on and how he solved the case {and I am talkin RIGHT as he was about to. I think the words had just been said “What happened is this…..”} someone walked up to my booth and wanted to buy tickets. So that meant I had to stop reading, sell the tickets and run the three minute ride. Thats fine…..three minutes right? WRONG. Just as that ride was about to end, another person came to buy some. So I had to wait through two entire rides to find out what went on. Do you know how long six minutes are when you are wondering how on earth he knew what had happened to the boy and what he had written on that paper to make the Dad give in and say he would tell all?!?! Six minutes is a LONG time! Heh. {I have to put all that away when running the ride so that I can keep my eyes on it.}

There are a few movies coming out in the next few weeks/months that look really good. I will have to wait till they come out and there is a review and such on Screen It to make a final decision as to if I go see them or not, but at the moment, I plan to go to them when able. One is called “Red Eye”. The other is “Flight Plan”. Oddly enough both take place on airplanes. heee. Anyone else heard of any good movies they would like to see? We still need to find one that is out now on DVD for a movie night. I think the date of Sept 19th has been chosen, but now we just need a movie. :)
