Carmella's Hang Out

Like I told Sarah, you may all look at this and wonder why it took me so very long…..but this has taken me about two days to finish, not really like two full days, but I have been working on it off and on for two days now! heh. As always, I took lots more pictures at the Ren Fest this weekend, but I wanted to have a more fun way of showing them off, rather than just posting a “hey, look….more pics” so….I made an entirely new page with a bit of a twist, to showcase them! Though, I also did place them in my photo album, since I was not able to use all of them on the new page. You can now get to those album directly using this address.

So how is everyone? I feel like I have been so very busy, as has everyone else, and so have not been able to chat with everyone like I would like to! Mum was saying tonight that she is rather looking forward to the Ren Fest being over so she can have us home more….though she knows we really enjoy it and that we are going to be sad to see it end. I think that there should be a Ren Fest all year round, and then we would not have to go every weekend for six weeks! We could go anytime we wanted to! But anywhoo. {there are just two weekends left in the fest, and then I should be back to normal! heh}

David is now working at the Camera shop, and works nearly full time hours! A very good thing as far as his finances go……but I feel like I NEVER see him! It is back to what it was like when we both worked at Meijer! The other day, I kid you not…..I was in bed when he left for work, I was in my uniform when he came home….he walked in the door, I said Hi to him, and I walked out the door to get to work. I dont remember if he was in bed when I got home, but if he was not, h e was on his way, because he had to open the next day and needed the sleep! It is crazy! He is still in training, but we all know he is able to sell cameras really well, since he did it for two years at Meijer. They just have yet to see that at this new store. That tends to be a bit frustrating for him, because he knows he is able to do the job, but because they are all looking at him as the new guy, they will not let him do his own thing and show them what he is capable of!

Caeley, I forgot to tell everyone, has learned how to ride her bike without training wheels!! YAY!! She does very well……but you would not know it by the look of her legs! lol. Lets put it this way, her first week or so of riding were not as smooth as they could have been. And though she did not fall much….when she DID fall, it was a BIG’UN and it sure banged up her little legs!

The kids have all started school now. I have actually been able to help out with the homeschooling a few times already, and that was fun!! It may sound silly, but it was strange to look at Kat’s math book and remember doing that same math years ago!! heh. This stuff I can handle! We watched a TV show tonight that had a school in it, and they were teaching Algebra….I wanted to leave the room and I was not even the one having to learn it! ICK! heh. Today they did a science project with Mum, using purple cabage. It is so you can test what is acidic and what is base. I remember doing that same expireiment when I was younger too!!

I am on the look out for a new job. HHmm…..I just thought of something though. One of the reasons I was looking to get out of the carousel, was that there is a guy that likes to hang out there, and he is creeping the life out of me. The first time I saw him, he came over and stood at the booth and was trying to talk to me…….I thought he was trying to get near the cash box to steal all the money in it. I had to call security while he was not looking in order to get him to leave me alone. That day, I hoped that would be the last I ever saw of him, but he was back about a week and a half later. This time, however, he did not come to the booth, but I think that was partly because I was not in it……I was cleaning. Dad said he would feel better if I got out of there too, so that this guy would leave me alone. {I am looking into talking to the Police to see what I can do should he come around again. Both nights, I was afraid to leave the mall alone, and called home to be ‘walked out’ to my car, so I at least had someone else who knew where I was} One of the jobs I was going to put in an app for though,…..is at the mall! lol. That would not help me much! I would be moving just down the hall from where I am right now…..but had not thought of how I didnt want to work at the mall at all anymore, until now! HHmmm….that changes things a bit. I guess I will go back to looking around here again. I had already planned on trying to get in at one of the places in walking distance from my house. There are many places, I just dont know if any of them are hiring. For some of the, it may be the second time at least that I would be applying at the store. I will try the Blockbuster down the street {about five blocks or less from my front door} and the Starbucks next door to it. Gonna look into the YMCA again, see if they are hurting from any school students leaving. I never heard back from JoAnn’s, but I may go back in and see if they still need help, and maybe put in another app. I wrote on there that I would not be able to start work till like mid September, because of the Fest…but I thought afterwards how that may have hurt my chances of a call back. So now, I would be able to go in and say I could start almost right away. Just need to be able to give notice to my other job….and that would take me past the Fest times.

OOO….I am getting tired. Last evening, Kade and I went over to Chris’ before she got home, and continued stripping the banister of paint, a job which she started herself but had not yet been able to finish. I think it was midnight when we got back home! In that time, we had gotten almost all of the paint off………and had a nice girls night,….though it was rather spur of the moment. Like I said, she didnt know we were going to be over there, and would not have known had it not been for the fact I had to call her to find where some of the things were! She came home while we were there, and we all took turns scraping at the thing. {Kade and I got there around 7 and we were working on it by 7:30……Chris got back around 8:30-9 and from then till like midnight we worked on it. heh. We had to take some breaks though, to let the paint stripper do its thing, and to get away from teh fumes!! heee heee}

So I think I had better head off to bed now! I have been doing ALOT of typing today….and my fingers need a rest!
