Long time no write! PHEW. I have been busy! That has been rather nice actually!!

Let me see.

Monday: I was suppose to work, but a co-worker needed the next day off so I took Tuesday for her and she worked my Monday. This was a good thing, because Rachel, my cousin, was driving over to spend the morning and early part of the afternoon with me. We have not seen each other much in the past year, and not but a few moments over the past few months, so we both wanted to spend some time together. She had the day off, and also needed to shop for some wedding shoes….so off to Great Lakes went we! It was such a fun time!!! We giggled and laughed so hard as we joked about the different shoes we found for her to wear on her special day. Our favorite picks were big ol’ “Ug” boots or whatever they are called….those big furry things everyone seems ga ga over, and cowboy boots…..white of course….she also said she thought she should just wear flip flops …..but I really think that would be far too cold as they are to wed in the begining of January!! Yesterday, Dad fixed the music for the song Tiff and I are dueting on for her reception. {Dad is to do all the music for it, and she asked that we all sing some songs as well.} It was a bit too hight before, and we were not able to hit the notes as well as we would have liked, but now that he lowered it for us, I think it should turn out great!!

Tuesday: In the morning, Tiff and I walked down to a centre of shops a little over two miles away. David had to work, so he had the van, and Dad was not home till after two….so we didnt have a car to get down there. Plus, it was good for us! We were planning on walking back home too….but it was FAR too cold, and I was getting blisters on my feet…so we called for a ride home when Dad got back from work. Praise the Lord….no broken bones!!!
I then went to work at 4-10:30

Wednesday I worked 4-10:30 this day, but I really cant remember what else I did that day…and I dont know why! Heee!!!!

Thursday I worked 2-6 this day, and after eating dinner at home with my family, Mum, Kade and I went over to Chris’ house to make cookies and do some sewing. We stayed up till after midnight over there and had a few dozen cookies baked by that time. It was a very good time!

Friday Oh what a busy mixed up and fun day this was!! It was our shopping day, and that usually means we start out early and go for hours,,,,and that was the case on this day!! David had to go to work that morning, so Mum drove him there, so that we could have the van for the day. When she got home, those left here at home {Me, Tiff, Katren, Caeley, and Samuel} hopped in the van to begin our long day of shopping. Off to Aldi we went, and then to WalMart. At one, I was to meet with Amanda at Meijer to join her for her lunch break. This was the first time in months we have done anything together, and it was really nice to get to spend that time with her. I tell ya, it was like I never left!! I got to hear all the gossip going on at the store….both from her and the SC on duty at the time….and we went back to the break room and sat there for a bit. While I was there, Mum took the rest of them to Cantaburry Village so Tiffany could look for Katrens gift. They then returned to Meijer so we could all do our shopping there together.

Even though the plan had been to have LUNCH together, Amanda and I did not eat on her break! We had some black forest cheese cake and coffee {she had coffee….I had a peppermint cocoa. Was not really in the mood for coffee that day} but we both think the cheese cake was left outside of a freezer for a long time…..and it was rather gross. As we wondered the store picking up our needed things, we all munched on sandwhiches from the deli, and that was our lunch…….at 2 in the afternoon! lol. Not a new thing for a Friday let me tell ya! {lunch at 2}

During all of our shopping, I was able to finish up Mum’s Christmas gift, get David’s, buy Cassie’s Birthday gift, get a birthday gift for a cousin, I got my Grandmothers Christmas gift, finished up Chris’ gift, got the rest of the gifts for Sarah’s family……and hhmm…..I THINK that was it. I really got a ton of my Christmas shopping done that day!! It was great!!!

We came home then, and met up with Dad who was now home from work. Due to misunderstandings and miscomunications….we had not known we were suppose to be home before 3 that day, so that Dad could take some of them out to a movie….but there were still showtimes after we got home, so Dad, Tiffany, Katren, Caeley, and Samuel took off to the Great Lakes Star Theatre to see “Narnia:The Lion The Witch And The Waardrobe” Mum and I went a different direction, to go begin looking for my gift to Kade. Since she reads this sometimes, I am not going to risk saying what I was looking for, nor the places we went……but I have yet to find what I really want to get her! At 7, we thought, David was to get off work, so Mum and I had to go over to his mall….rather disapointed really, because we had not gotten half of the things done we had on our to do list for that time. {however, I really had a great time! It is not often I get to go out alone with my Mum and spend two hours driving around!! We did alot of laughing and had fun making fun of the prices of the item I am in search for!!!} When we arrived at the Summer Set Collection Mall, to get David….we saw him still knee deep in a sale. So we waited around the store for over 10 minutes, since we knew he had seen us and would be out ANY minute. With that sale ended…..and another one starting….Mum and I went down the hall to the cafe to get something to drink. It seemed as if David was getting a bit nervous with us watching him, and since I was dying of thirst, it seemed like a good excuse to get out of his way! We called home around 7:30 to let them know we were not yet on our way, because it seemed David was being held over. When at 8 David was still not making any headway in getting to the door, {we had gone back to standing outside the store, so that he would see us as soon as he left and would not have to go in search of his ride} Mum went in and let him know that we were going to walk around a bit, and that he was to call my cell when he was out of work. He had a confused look on his face as he said “yeah, ok….” and Mum said “When do you think you will be able to get out?” he then said “I dont get off work till 9:30 I close tonight!” WHAT?!?!?! That was pretty much our reaction…heh. Turns our, his out time had been changed for quite sometime, to closing…even though he had opened that morning at 9! He, however, had forgotten to let us know or change it on the calandar!!! SO, we had to once again call home to let them know there, that we would not be back till after 9!! This meant they would have to get dinner {since none of us had eaten anything} and put the kids to bed. This was agreed upon…and Mum and I continued on our walk around the mall. At 9, all the stores began to shut thier doors, and people started filing out of the place. Once again….we went back to sitting outside the now closed Ritz Camera….as the lights of the mall and the overhead music all went out! It is a rather lonely feeling actually….to watch as everything around you closes down….but you cant leave yourself. Mum and I made the best of it though….doing ‘do-op’ and stupid things while we sat on the floor…our backs up against the railing that looks down to the second floor of the mall {we were on the third floor}

Needing gas for the car, David drove us down the road to the station he uses when he needs gas after work….the time was now nearing 10 at night I think…..so we made HIM do the calling home to let them know we were now on our way home and would be there in half an hour or so!

Next miscomunication….Dad and Tiff had not had anything to eat because they had heard us say something about pizza and thought we would get one when we got home. Mum and I were really hungery at the mall, so we shared a plate of Chineese in the cafe….so we felt really bad that they had yet to eat. However, I did bring them home a bunch of chicken from the same place. So, at 11 Friday night, Mum and I got into the car again, and went around the corner to Hungery Howies Pizza to pick up our two pizza’s!!! We then all had ‘dinner’ together in the living room. WHAT A DAY!!!!

Saturday Mum and Dad put up the manger {we do this instead of a tree….I dont know if I have mentioned that before.} while Tiff and I worked on a little project of our own. The day before, at Meijer, we got candy bars and coffee beans. We melted the chocolate, and put the coffee beans in the gooey mess. When that did not work the way we wanted it to, we got out Mum’s candy molds and poured the chocolate into that…then added a bean or two to each mold. After we put it into the freezer, I had to go to work.

Sunday Pretty normal nice Sunday. We had Bible study in the morning with Chris and the boys. I had work at 4 that afternoon. A few days ago, I asked my boss if I could wear my silly head band for Christmas, and though I had only planned on using it the week of Christmas, I decided to use them yesterday too! It was fun. I got lots of funny comments and compliments on my snowmen. It is a normal headband, that then has two springs on the top with two snowmen faces on it. I got it last year while in Iowa. Both of them are meant to have carrot noses but in the move back home I think, one of them got borken off. That has become the ‘girl’ of the pair. I named them Franklin {the one with the nose} and Elveretta after my Hepworth Grandparents.

It is now back to Monday, and I have just finished up with more gift wrapping. I am EAGERLY awaiting the arrival of the gifts I plan to send to my online friends. FedEx is due to deliver them today, and they are taking thier sweet time! Grampa Hepworths gift came today, however, and that was really cool cause we did not think it would get here till at least Wednesday!!

I have to let you all know now, that while I am trying not to do so….your gifts might get sent out late! It all depends on how much money I have and how much it costs to ship them!

Thank you Tara, for the lovely notepad!! It made me giggle!!! I love it!!! {dont worry…I did not open anything in the box! We have the gifts in the manger waiting to be torn open…carefully….on December 24 when we do our family Christmas}
