Flu Update

This morning I went in to work, but only for half an hour. My boss had her husband cover the rest of the shift, so as not to get all of our crew AND customers sick the week before Chrismtas. Though at the time I felt as though I could perhaps handle a bit longer there, I had already made the statement before that I did not want to pass this on, so was in agreement to go home. I was rather glad I did too.

For most of the day, I just rested on the couch, falling in and out of fitfull sleep. Even though I thought I knew what was going on around me, it seems as though I was more out of it that I thought, and was little aware of my surroundings for most of the time. I am also told that I have not had much colour in my face at all today.

The kids are all on the mend today, though it began a bit rough. They are now back in thier own beds, and I am about to head off to mine for the night. Mum has come down with it today as well…and Tiffany has not been feeling well. As far as I know, all of us {other than David} big ppl have been able to keep our food down, but the body and head aches, along with the weakness and hard to explain abdominal pain/discomfort/goings on, are enough to make the day very unpleasent.

I was already to have Sunday and Monday off this week, so I will not have to return to work till Tuesday. So I am sure that by the time I go back, I will be nearly fully, if not fully, recovered.

Thank you Lord for a short run on this one. We were worried we might have had to skip Christmas day with all our family….but if no one is sick on Tuesday, I think we may still go…..that is, after a good airing out of the house and wash down of everything to make sure there are no lingering germs. {Sickness at Christmas is not a new thing for our family. There have been years we have had to skip the family day due to us having the flu or the risk of bringing it home from someone else. It seems every year, that if we are not sick when we go, we have either just gotten over something, or about to get it.|

All for now….I need my bed!!
