Strange conversations

My family and I often have some of the strangest conversations at the dinner table! More often than not, however, though they are strange they are side splittingly funny. Tonight, due to veering off on tangents of little comments…..we came up with a list of who was what dog, in my family!! :D

Because Dad is at work for lunch time during the week, a time where many silly talks take place, he is not ‘in’ on some of the jokes and funny quotes and such. This lead him to ask if there was a confused dog, as we were trying to figure out what to name for him. Tiff came up with the idea from a commic in which the puppy is always confused and happy for no reason or other silly things behavior of the like. For this reason, it was decided that Dad’s doggy counterpart was the same as Satchel from ‘Get Fuzzy’, a Shar Pei

We had a good laugh at some of the breeds Mum named for herself. I have to link to this photo first, before I tell you what breed we chose, just because the pic is so funny….and did in one sense seem to fit Mum. David is always teasing her saying she ‘chirps’ DAVID when she is laughing, or when he has just done something shocking/embarassing or such. When I typed in Afghan Hound, this picture reminded me of the “DAVID” chirp. {Look at the eyes!} After that idea was chucked, she was named a Tibetan Spaniel

David was not very pleased with the breed said to be his ‘like’. It was done with love though, Im telling you, love. This was the one that seemed to fit in so well with the one that we knew we would say was Sam. And the fact that it drooled, as Tiff put it, was a bonus! David….is a Bullmastiff See how nice and proud he stands?? And he just looks so smart! {Love…trust me!}

I was said to be a Cocker Spaniel.

Much deliberation went into Tiff’s counter part. The first breed blurted out was a pug. This would be by David and echoed by Sam {mostly cause Sam repeats anything he hears his big brother say.} Now, personally, I think the pug is such a cute little dog, and will concider getting one should I ever be in housing that allows dogs. However, for understandable reasons, Tiff was not thrilled with being named a pug…and that was thrown out the window. I decided she was a Keeshond.

Mum is not at all pleased with the animal the rest of us agreed upon for Kat….and to be honest, neighther is Kat herself! Yet…I see her in this dog, I kid you not! It is so stinkin skinny. It shivers as if it is in a constant state of cold. Its walk is strange, and I am not sure if it is a walk that tries to show itself off….or is uncomfortable in its own skin…but the pup has a silly little walk that adds to its endearing qualities. It is…..a Chinese Crested. The hair is another thing that adds to its ‘Trenness’. At the moment she is growing her hair out so that when she cuts it, it will be long enough to give to locks of love.

Often, while watching a movie, reading a book, taking a walk, listening to music, and many other things, Caeley will say *deep breath in* “I have a question.” During a 2 hour movie, you are garenteed to hear this 25 times. This is how she learns, I know, she askes a TON of questions. It is something, I must admit, that she gets ribbed for, due to the cute way she says it that can become a bit gratting on ones nerves after hearing it three times in the past ten minutes. {C: ‘I have a quetion, why did that girl just say hello to that man that walked into the room?’ answer: ‘Because that is her job at the store’ C: ‘I have a question, why did the man have on a blue shirt?’ answer ‘He just said, he knew it was her favorite colour.’ C: ‘I have a question, are they going to get married?’ answer: ‘Why dont we finish watching the movie first and find out?’ C: ‘I have a question….’ cut in answer: ‘45′} She is full of energy and hyperness, and a could talk your ear off it you let her. All of this, makes Ley Ley, a Jack Russell Terrier.

We now get to the person on whom we started: Sam. Now Sammy loves his big bro. Sam is Davids side kick. He laughs at anything David said, even if David himself knew that it was not funny and did not in anyway mean it to be funny. {D: ‘Oh, its an ant.’ S: *giggle* ‘An ant, good one David…oh ha ha!!’ *big goofy sigh* D: ‘No, Sam, it really is an ant see?’ S: ‘Yeah…..I KNOW!!’ *more giggling*} He repeats just about everything that David says, and he tries in every way to be his brother. Sam misses David when he is gone to work so much, so on a day off that has come after many long houred days, Sam is even more attatched to David. Ever seen movies where there is a tiny dog that follows around the big dog saying ‘Yeah Baws! {boss, only with an accent} dats a great idea. I counldnt have thought of a better plan myself. Good one Baws!!” ? Yeah…thats our Sam! He……is a Chihuahua. {and now, the mastiff for David should make more sense.} And a cute one he is at that!
