I DID A CARTWHEEL!!!

 Two actually! And tried to do a handstand as well! Man did it feel good. Well…at the moment. I am paying for it a bit more right now, but I think it was worth the feeling of the cartwheels after two or three years with nothing! I had already given up any of my ‘dreams’ for gymnastics, long before surgery, but after wards, I kinda gave up hope that I would ever feel OK enough to do one again!! Mostly cause I am a big chicken and didn’t think I would get up the guts enough to do something that could end with pain.
Kade and I went to see the movie ‘Stick It’ the other day, which is about gymnasts. I knew that was going to make me want to go jumping around, and was not sure if I would be up to it or not. It was not until I saw someone I don’t even know trying to give lessons to the kids in the front yard, that I decided I needed to go out there and show them how to do it right! lol. She really didn’t seem to know what she was talking about {I am not going to say she didn’t know at all, cause then I will find out that she was an elite or something like that….but that is kinda how I felt watching her try and give them advice.}
Kade is not doing well at the moment, so she could not come out and help me be an example, so I did it myself. Hey, even in the movie, they say “Those that can not do, coach” so I guess I will coach the kids again this summer! Lets hear it for “The Anchors”!!!!
Yes, I did say that Kade is not doing well. She has hurt herself pretty bad. Today, she has been on crutches, but even with them, can not walk well at all. She has to be on her tip toes, because she cant put her heels down for the muscle tension, and even once she gets them to touch floor, she cant put weight on them cause she falls. Two nights ago, she over did it in her work out trying something new, and did something to her calves. Please pray that she will be able to walk right again. She will have to call off at least two days of work for this week.
We are hoping that staying off her feet, icing them, and elevating her legs,…even after a day of hobbling around on them {they hurt yesterday, but not as much as today, so she still walked a bit} will help heal her up.
