Carmella's Hang Out

I have been very bad with all things ‘wordy’ this year! Usually, I write letters like mad, and my blogs are up to date and new often. Since the beginning of 08, I have been very bad at keeping in touch with people, getting letters off to those I need to, and updating my blogs! This is not the only one that has not had an actual update in a long time. Not really sure why that is, but it is so.

Two Saturdays ago, Kade and I got to go to a college hockey game at the Palace. It was so much fun! Really makes me wish there were more teams/games around here! I had to work that morning,but the game did not start till after three, so we got there in plenty of time. Because there were two games that day, we did not make it home till after ten!! But, as I said,it was well worth it, as the games were good, the yelling and being goofy was fun, spending time with Kade was a blast, and it was HOCKEY!!

We are hoping to be able to get tickets to a pro game to take place {in Detroit} in February. Our {Mine and Kade’s} favourite team is playing against the Red Wings, and given that our team is from California, there is not much chance to see them play live! Though we have been trying to get tickets for weeks now, even as soon as they went on sale, there do not seem to be the right amount available. Not really sure how that is, since they {the Red Wings} have not been able to have a sell out game in the past year, and also since they site does not say that any of the tickets are sold out. We are really hoping it is just a problem with the website {I have been told that is not unusual with this ticket site} and that we will be able to find some through another way. This is the same match up that we had hoped to go see in October, but were unable to purchase tickets then either. We were more ok with that then, since we did know already that they were back in a few months, and because many of our favourite players were not playing at the time. This time, however, all of our favourites that were out due to injuries have or will have returned by then, and two more players have since decided to return to the game. {two major/big time players were contemplating retirement. One signed back on over a month ago, and the other just announced his return yesterday.} Kade and i both agree that we are going to need to seek out a few more games, especially if we are not able to go in a few weeks! {I have even done some research on how much it would cost to fly to one of the games near by and stay for a night or two. Yes, that is how much I love hockey, even though I don’t know how thrilled Dad would be with the idea.}
