So once again, like so often, I have left all my blogs to sit for awhile. Why? Cause I really do not have that much of which to speak of in a blog!

I am ‘dealing’ with many of the same things I have been over the last few months, {since 2008 began and before for that matter} and writing the very same thing over and over does not make for fun blog reading. Besides, I can’t even put some of my feelings into words! Trust me I have! Poems are not coming to me like I wish they would, for it would make venting a bit easier!

Since there is nothing that big going on {of which I can type} I shall share some of the small things.

Kade and I continue to watch our Duck hockey team make their way to the Stanley Cup championships. We subscribed to an online watching program which allows us to SEE the games in which they play { as long as they are not being blacked out due to network television coverage} instead of just listen to them. For this reason, my sleep schedule has been all sorts of messed up! Some days, puck drop is at 7pm……SoCal time! That translates to 10pm our time. If I have work the next day I have to get up at 5 in the morning and so 10 is my normal bedtime for the night before. Yet, being the fan that I am {and having paid the money we did for Center Ice} I stay up anyway. Since, however, I know those days and times in advance, I am able to get in a nap….sometimes two! The other night, when a game was to begin at 10:30, I took a nap once I got home from work, sleeping somewhere around 3 hours. Then, after dinner and before the game, I went to bed with the kids, between 8:30 and 9. Kade came and got me at 10! Once the game was done, finishing up at 1 or half past 1 the next morning, I quickly returned to bed to grab four more hours of sleep before heading off to work. I of course took another nap later that day! :D

This week I have a bit more time off than normal,and I intend to take full advantage of it! Due to having a morning doctor visit Friday, I requested that day off. I figured my days off would just be split, probably a Wednesday-Friday week, but instead I was given Tuesday-Wednesday-Friday! {seeing as how I never work on Sundays, this leaves me with a work one day, two days off, work one day, one day off, work one day, one day off!!!} I am going to use this time to catch up on sleep, catch up on the center ice we have missed, hang out with Kade and hopefully at least Lys from work, and have FUN!!!

Depending on how the weather looks, and how we feel, Kade and I may strike out on a LONG walk this afternoon. {after a bit of Center Ice watching!} We have yet to trek down to the new Super WalMart {yes, we have visited it a few times, but always by car} and I think this is the perfect time to check out that walk!

Last Wednesday, I walked down to my place of work on my day off, to get some study time in and some much needed exercise. One of the roads is being torn to shreds and put back together with three more lanes, so my route to work has been changed. I decided to take an even longer path than was necessary, and ended up walking somewhere around four and a half miles. Not a bad walk, but my co-workers all thought I was insane and begged me to get a ride home rather than take the same way home! {as it turns out, it was better for me to wait for a ride anyway, so I stayed and studied, wrote a letter, and read through some of my hockey books till just after six when Mum, Kade and the kids were able to pick me up}

Back in January, Mum and Kade went and gave blood at a local blood drive. Not sure how it was going to effect them, as it was the first time they had done so, I said I would be the designated driver and not donate. Well tonight, they plan to go back, and this time I will be joining them!! That is, if I am given the OK all clear by the nurses. I know already that some of the meds are fine and cleared for donors to be on, but there are still a few questions for some. I will go get my normal weekly shots tomorrow, and I do not know if that is going to be a problem just having given blood. The other two have told me they were very tired the next day, with the weariness setting in a bit more the day after than right away. We shall see how I do with being a bit drained already {literally} from giving up some blood, and then having my injections! I often get very tired, specially on the bad shot weeks where they have not done the best job on my injection, fighting off an attack and all.

I must once again say just HOW MUCH I love my IFC unit!! I am hooked up to it as I type this, and I am almost 100% out of pain!! When I woke up, I did not want to move much at all, let alone contemplate a however many mile walk it is to the store! However, having this little machine plugged into my broken little back, I forget the problems I had with movement, and I feel ready to do just about anything! This month marks one year since I finished up my PT with H and A, and also a year since I quit at the carousel!! Once again, this march sees me a much different person than the last, due in a great deal to my back problems! Praise the Lord this time is for the better!! :)

And with that……
