Friends
The Lord has blessed me with some of the best friends I could ever hope to have. I would like to introduce you to them. This list is in no way in any order of each friends importance to me. Each one of my friends is near and dear to my heart.
For each, I have chosen a song. With some of them, it was because the song itself reminds me of what the person is like. With others, even just hearing the name makes me think of them. In other cases, the feeling of the song is just how I feel…..only not with all the boyfriend girlfriend feeling it has in it! lol. {they need to write more songs for friends!!} At any case, each song reminds me of that friend for one reason or another and is therefore dubbed, ‘their song’ on this page.

Sarah: “A Living Prayer”
This is Sarah. A young vibrant, bright shining light for the Lord. The two of us met under some of the best circumstances: an online Bible debate. Though at first it seemed we were on oppsing sides, it soon became clear we had much of the same ideas. She is the Dianna to my Anne {of Green Gables}. Someday, very soon, I hope to meet her in person so that we can take more than verbal strolls down beautiful lanes. This girl has such a way with words, both spoken and written. I am not sure how she does it, but she always seems to know just what to say at what time. So many times God has used her to point me back in the right direction. I think of her as a sweet little blonde pixie! Beautiful no matter how you look at her.

Grant: “Grey Sky Eyes”
As the ‘govenor’ of a small online homeschool group, it was Grant’s job to welcome the newcomers, and in January of 04 I was one of the newcomers. We started chatting through yahoo messenger after a mutual friend sugested we would get along. She was very right!! Grant reminds me of my big brother, with his sense of humor and personality. He and his family were such a wonderful sorce of prayer during everything with my back. Many a time, we have had some pretty big discusions that have lead to one or both of us getting into our Bibles more, either to prove a point or simpley to talk about a portion more.He is a great guy with a wonderful future for Christ.

Tara: “When I’m Up {I Can’t Get Down}”
Tara is the younger sister, and best friend,of Grant. Before she and I became friends, there were many times I remember Grant saying “That is so much like my sister” or “You and my sister would really get along!” For awhile, we kinda just sent each other messages through ‘big brother’,but soon found that it worked much better to just talk to each other! {Sorry Grant!} In the past year, we have enjoyed many giggle fests and goofy conversations on IMs and the phone. We get along great! She is very much a southern girl, and is teaching me ‘the ways of Texas’. Our motto is…”We WILL meet one day!!”
Like her older brother, Tara loves the Lord dearly, and it really shows. I have given her the nickname Vanny wich to me, stands for the Swedish word “vän” meaning friend.

Naomi: “You’ve Got A Friend In Me”
My sunshiney friend. This girl is always on the go it seems. Yet, she always takes the time to catch up with me!! We have been through alot together: Deaths in the family, sickness, arguments, horrid family problems. Though it has not all been through bad times. Through the years, we have laughed and cried together. We live on two oposite sides of the US, in very different states, yet we still have so much to talk about and so much in common. One of the biggest things being our love of the Lord. Infact, that is the reason we met. We were both fans of the group A*Teens, and each had that we were believers in our profiles. Also in common, were the facts that we were homeschooled and part of larger families.Thus began a new friendship that has lasted over four years now. I call her Omi. {still have not figured out if she likes that or not!! lol!}
“2Sa 22:7 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears. “

Beth: “My Funny Friend and Me”
Beth is scarily like me. I mean, very much so! The first long talk that we had, seemed as if I was talking to myself. We like the same things, and {at least on IMs
} act very much alike and have many of the same thoughts and ideas. When talking to Mum about Beth, I use to have to refer to her as my doppelganger. {that was back in the begining of our friendship. Mum pretty much knows now who everone is! hee, though that is still what we sometimes call her!} Everything from that fact that we are the oldest daughters of a pastor {and if I remember right, both Baptist pastors, but I could be wrong.} down to the fact that we both love kids and were homeschooled! Beth and I met on the same website that I met Sarah and Grant on. Infact, it is Beth that said she thought Grant and I would get along. ![]()

Cassie“At Your Side”
Fry Girl. I think this name fits her in so many ways. The number one being that there are days, that the silly girl eats nothing but a fry, {the name coming from that very situation one day} but also for the fact that the girl is as skinny and tall as a fry! She is a true beauty queen. But not a stuck up one like those you see depicted in the movies. No, she is sweet and silly and spunky. Cass and I met online at the A*Teens website. We saw that we had much in common, some of which was that we were both Believers and homeschooled. That was over four years ago. Since then, we have only grown closer.
Nowadays, we have grown out of the ‘A*teens’ phase of our lives, and into more ‘grown up’ things. Such as spamming message boards together till two in the morning, playing silly games like ABC’s and guess the picture. We share a love of music, and have many of the same favorite bands. From what I have heard and read, Cassie is a very talented actress, and one day, will be the Next American Idol. I plan to be at one of her plays for opening night, one day. I pray it is soon.
“Psa 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Chris: “To Me”
Words are hard to find to discribe how much this lady means to me. She came into our lives at a time when we all really needed a friend, and she has grown to be more than that, she is now family. It is because of Chris, that my dream of going to the Ren Fest came true. Now, it is an anual tradition for us to go to the Fest at least once a year together. The Lord has allowed my family to be involved in Chris’ growth as a Christian, and it has been our privilage to watch her become a wonderful Mother to two great little boys. Whenever the idea of moving has come up in conversation, a large lump begins to develop in my throat. I dont know what I would do without her. She is my big sister! I even started wearing a thumb ring beacuse Chris did. She was the first grown up I had ever seen that had one, and I thought it looked so cool, that I started to have mine on all the time. The very first time I met her, I thought she looked like Shannon Miller. hee hee. Since then, I have found she is much more beautiful and much more interesting than any gymnast.
“3Jo 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth “
“Phl 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you”
Psa 30:12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Amen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
